When is a separation notice issued?

An employer may issue a separation notice to an employee for many reasons, but the following are the most common:

Separation notices are similar to termination notices in many ways, but there is one key difference. Unlike termination notices, separation notices can be issued for any reason an employee separates from employment with a company, not just termination.
